Help: Uploading Guidelines
This guide outlines certain criteria the staff will use to determine whether a post is suitable for e6ai. Please note that the moderation team has the last word and that these criteria cannot cover every possible scenario.
This guide complements both our Do Not Post List as well as the Posting Abuse section in our rules. Read them.
For the purposes of this guide, the term Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Neural Network (NN) will be treated as synonyms; both refer to any computer-generated image or video produced via text prompts or image inputs.

1. Visual examples for images ↑
This section provides visual examples and explanations on what staff will look for when approving posts. Your post will get deleted if it contains enough of these errors.
Click on an image to view it in full.
Remember: these are only examples. A visual guide for every single type of error that may appear would be infinitely long. So, even if your very specific error does not appear in this guide, it could still fall under one of the following categories.
1.Attempted signature
Attempted signatures are artifacts that mimic the look of an artist’s autograph, print title, web address, branding, or logos from platforms like Patreon or similar sites.

2.Anatomical anomalies
Anatomical anomalies refer to any artistically unintentional deviation in a character's anatomy compared to the norm. For example, a character with an amputated arm would be allowed; in contrast, common generation errors such as six fingers or unequal leg size would not be allowed.

3.Poor Details On Focus Objects
A focus object is any item that is in the foreground or one that a prominently featured character is interacting with. Focus objects must clearly resemble what they are intended to portray. For example, if you are not able to identify an item on a table in the foreground by name, that item should be either removed or improved.
Note: Complex objects such as weaponry, vehicles, machinery, etc, are not held to the same standard as normal focus objects. These items' appearance may diverge from their real-life counterparts to a degree that is at the discretion of staff team. All parts of an image are expected to exhibit a basic level of coherence, regardless of focus or complexity. For example, an imperfect motorcycle in the background that still appears reasonably accurate is acceptable. A table in the foreground with unlikely geometry is not.
4.Poor Upscaling, Artifacting and Color Anomalies
Upscaling, if done correctly, can definitely improve an image. If done incorrectly, however, it can cause a myriad of issues to appear as seen in the image below. (Note that some online generators automatically upscale your images, so even if you did not personally upscale it, the same type of errors may still appear.)

5.Text and Lettering Errors
Text appearing on focus objects (clothing, handheld items, etc.) or in meta elements (dialogue, captions, etc.) must be fully legible and free of artifacts. Artifacted text in the background may be permitted at the staff's discretion.

2. Quality standards↑
- All submissions must demonstrate a strong grasp of artistic fundamentals.
- Submissions that are too abstract or difficult to recognize as furry or furry-related will likely be removed.
- Anatomical features (limbs, proportions, etc.) must appear intentional. Deliberate stylization or intentional deviations from the norm is, of course, acceptable (e.g., amputees, multiple breasts, huge eyes).
- With improved tools, small errors can now be fixed, so strange-looking appendages should no longer be an issue unless purposeful.
- All submissions must be presented in a clear, readable format.
- Images and videos must be of high quality, free of excessive compression artifacts or similar issues.
- You may upscale your image, but ensure that the upscaled version is free of any distortions or artifacting. The bigger the image, the more details you have to worry about.
- Only upload finalized, polished works. We want the best representation of your work, not placeholders intended for later fixes. Please complete any necessary edits before uploading.
Edits
- Edits of images need to be at least on the same level of quality as the original.
- Low-effort edits (adding stories, changing text, bucket fill coloring, cutting out parts, etc.) are not allowed.
- If you feel an image of yours has been unfairly deleted, please take a look at disputing staff actions.
Staff prefers Discord for sharing problematic images: https://e6ai.net/static/discord
- If you’ve fixed your deleted image, simply reupload it again.
3. Good things to upload↑
- Furry-themed AI content: Any AI art or animations that are relevant to "furries", i.e., contain anthropomorphic characters or animals.
- Inpainted and manually-edited images: You are encouraged to use inpainting and manual, non-AI methods to improve the image.
- AI art you've commissioned/made: AI art that you commissioned or made yourself.
- Permitted reposts: AI-generated content that you received explicit permission from its original director to post.
- Coherent image sets: Image sets are allowed as long as they have an overarching narrative (i.e. comic) or otherwise a natural progression (i.e. transformation sequences) connecting the images.
- When a comic contains multiple images in one post, minor generation errors will be treated with greater leniency.
4. Bad things to upload↑
- Attempted signatures: Images containing AI-generated attempts at signatures, logos, branding, or platform watermarks (e.g., Patreon) will likely be removed.
- Prompt spam: Uploading several near-identical images generated from the same prompt base is prohibited. Share only your best version.
- Traditional artworks: Human-created art is not permitted.
- Mixed creations where a human has edited the AI art is allowed.
- img2img of traditional artworks:: Human-created works processed through img2img that retain clearly identifiable elements of the original will be removed.
- Screen captures: Submit the original generated file, not screenshots or cropped versions.
- Small images: Anything below 768px in either dimension is likely to get deleted.
- Photographs: Any real-life photograph is off-limits, regardless of what is photographed.
- Low-quality submissions: Submissions with visible artifacts, excessive compression, or poorly executed edits will be removed.
- Underage Characters: Depictions of characters appearing underage in suggestive/explicit contexts are strictly prohibited.
- Photorealistic Renders: Anything explicit that, at a glance, could be mistaken for a photograph will be removed. (even if AI-generated mistakes are present)
- Photorealistic anthropomorphic characters are allowed.
- Photorealistic feral fantasy creatures that cannot be mistaken for real animals (Hippogriff, Vaporeon, Dinosaur) are allowed.
- Photorealistic depictions of real-life animals in environments they could naturally inhabit (like a horse in a barn, dog on a bed) are likely to get removed.
- Note that adding anthropomorphic traits (like clothing or unusual fur patterns and colors) to real-life animals can help emphasize the AI-generated nature of your image and reduce the risk of it being removed.
- Photorealistic depictions of humans: Photorealistic human depictions are prohibited.
- exception: POV shots or shots that obscure most features of the photorealistic human are fine as long as no facial features are visible).
- Previously deleted content.
- DNP Content:
- Anything created by a director or publisher on our DNP List. *
- If you have special permission to post something from a director that is on our DNP list then please provide us with proof of said permission.
- Paid content (Patreon, art CDs, art packs sold through PayPal, etc.) *
- Pay-What-You-Want content (PWYW) that allows it to be "bought" for $0.00 is DNP for the first two months after publication.
- Real-life pornography. No exceptions. *
Important: Anything above marked with a * might result in a record when posted. If you're unsure, check our rules on Posting Abuse or ask one of our administrators.
5. Humans and e6ai↑
Fully human characters are only allowed as long as they are part of an otherwise furry-centric image. If a page of an otherwise furry-centric comic contains only humans, then those pages are allowed for the sake of completeness.
As such:
- Anything that does not contain anthropomorphic characters or animals as part of their focus will be deleted.
- If it looks like a human, it counts as a human, no matter what in-universe lore reasons exist to the contrary.
- The things that make humans not-human under our rules are visible, anatomical deviations from the standard human.
- Examples are the presence of animal body parts (dog ears, cat tail, pig snout, horse penis, etc.), alien body parts, plant body parts, etc.
- This means that orcs, elves, plant-people, humanoid aliens, are all fine.
- A different skin color will not make a human-centric image postable.
- AI quirks, like additional or missing limbs, will not make a human-centric image postable.
If any sort of non-human traits are present, the character in question is no longer fully human, but a humanoid for tagging purposes.
Advertisements↑
- Do not advertise on e6ai.
- No advertisements for paid content of any kind.
- No paywall logos (e.g. Patreon).
- No mentions or links to paywalled content in the description or source.
Exceptions:
- Tip jars are allowed.
- Commissions using the "Commission Info" field on your profile is allowed.
