Topic: A follow up because the topic was locked as I hit reply.. my oppinion on things.

Posted under General

Aight, I'll throw my .0000000000000002 bitcoins in on this. Aqua has a point, but I'm taking both sides on this.

I know the moderators are a small group of people, but the inconsistencies between each moderator for what they see, or someone flags, it's.. just wild.

So, since some of the post ACTUALLY do get a 'reason why' it was deleted, they are usually brief, and not really helpfull. Perhaps there's a way to time-dely the post being deleted, with the whole 'flagged' for deletion in say 72 hours (3 days) to give someone time to fix the issue, then request a replacement in the post? I know there is a way, but darn if I can find it! I was surprised myself a while back when I posted a bunch of my golden wolf girls, only to have them approved, then deleted later for errors that me and many others couldn't even figure out? Also, since there's no real internal name, it's impossible to know WHICH ones were uploaded and deleted, with the whole 'delayed' delete, a person could be like, oh, I see now, etc. As someone who's been a subjected to this, it's also REALLY disheartening to have this happen, and be like.. buh.. wuh?

I dunno, just my oppinion on things, and I think you all for doing what you can for all this, as it's most likely a VERY thankless job regardless!

Also, remember not everyone knows how to photoshop, or inpaint. I don't know how to inpaint, but I know how to photoshop very fine, and I've been more wary of problems in my images when I post them. However, like others have said, tiny impercievable problems should not be an immediate or delayed delete, becuase there's still actual 'slop' getting through, and no one says anything.

Like in the old movie Demolition Man, "AIght you need to get a little dirty, and you.. you need to get ALOT more clean!' Just perhaps take a little consideration, because afterall..

WERE HERE FOR PORN, not for tiny little nuances that like no one even notices, because we're focusing on tits ass and peckers!

To that, if this sort of ruleset was over on the traditional 621 website, 90% of what is posted would be deleted seconds after it was posted.

Anywho, thats a wrap!

Thanks for coming to my TIGER Talk!

GoldAnthroWolf (TriGem)

I wasn't going to carry this on, but I'm a stubborn ass sometimes.

I can agree with you a little bit there, but...

So, since some of the post ACTUALLY do get a 'reason why' it was deleted, they are usually brief, and not really helpfull.

95% of the time, they point to the problem. It's not hard to at the visual examples and match it to similar errors on your own work

It's Discord , but it also says on the FAQ page that you can politely DM whoever deleted your post if you have further questions.
To the mods/janitors I've spoken to, they've been nothing but helpful.

it's impossible to know WHICH ones were uploaded and deleted

Actually you can see everything you've ever posted or even just the deleted posts

Also, remember not everyone knows how to photoshop, or inpaint.

If someone can take the time to learn how to use the AI tools, they can learn the other parts of it, or how to use any image manipulation software.
As I said in the previous thread - it's about putting in the time and effort. If you don't want to at least try, then logically, you don't get to shouldn't complain.

because afterall..

WERE HERE FOR PORN, not for tiny little nuances that like no one even notices, because we're focusing on tits ass and peckers!

While that is a mostly true statement in my opinion, it's not true for everyone, but also some people enjoy "flawless" art.

Disclaimer: I didn't create this thread. I went to shower then came back and refreshed the forum and saw this and decided to comment on it.

Disclaimer out of the way: So basically you're trying to tell us that it's a REQUIREMENT of the website that every submission that we want to post here MUST be cleaned up with other tools or it's not allowed to be posted on E6AI. Gotcha. I wish they had written that into the actual requirements posted on the website. If I had known that we were required to do this just to be permitted the privilege of being on the blessed E6AI website I would of never bothered posting anything here.

So here's what happened in the past 24 hours: I went to bed with my account having the ability to upload 8 pictures per 24 hours then suddenly while I was asleep several of submissions (that had already been approved months ago) were suddenly deleted. Now I'm restricted to only 6 per 24 hours. I'm sure those I requested deleted are going to count against me as well, even though it's done at my request. Most likely by this time tomorrow I won't be able to use the website at all now because of their rules. It's not even anything that I did or had any control over either. I thought I was "Doing the right thing" and complying with all the rules by posting something and seeing it approved by a moderator, signalling to me that I'm doing everything right how they want it. Apparently that's not enough and suddenly one day we can wake up and be told "that thing you uploaded 3 months ago that was good enough back then isn't good enough today". Which leads to confusion about just what the heck is even going on here on this website. ??????????????????????????

I have no idea what to think about anything today. I post something months ago and it's approved, then later not approved, so.. how would I ever know if something that I post is good enough to be here? Being approved by a moderator doesn't mean jack squat. There is literally no way to know if we're complying with the rules or not on this website when we post something. It's a huge gamble with the status of our account to even attempt to post anything here.

This whole process of posting something, seeing it approved, then later having it removed (and a permanent ding on our account that can never be reversed by anyone and effects our ability to upload in the future) is so awful. How are we to know if something isn't good enough without trying to post it first? If it's not and gets deleted then we're fucked for lifetime. That's it. Account permanently damaged. No going back. No repairing. Nothing to do about it.

If I ever did post anything again I would have this constant worry that everything I post is just going to be stealth deleted in a few months and negatively impact my ability to upload, even if it's initially approved in the first 72 hours. There will always be this constant looming fear of "Is today the day that I'll be cut off from uploading to E6AI?" every time I wake up. I have enough stress and depression to battle daily already in my life. I don't need even more added onto my plate from this place. I don't know how anyone can handle this sort of uncertainty, doubt, and fear by posting here.

It sure is awfully scary trying to use this website!

I'm not saying it's a requirement, no. I was simply just trying to give some helpful advice as to how you can improve on your work if you do want to post it here and have it stay posted here.

It's not. It is clearly written on the upload limit section on your profile page that you can contact the staff if something like that happens.

None of this is an attack on anyone. I try to keep my criticisms constructive, and be helpful wherever I can. Personally, I'm just happy there are places that I can share my AI-generated images amongst those who like-mindedly enjoy it, or create it themselves.
I don't lose my marbles when my posts - old or new - get deleted, because even if I think it's perfectly fine and free of any problems, it is still a gamble. If I really want to, I can go back and redo those images, reupload them and they STILL might get deleted. But for every one that gets deleted, there's a handful that don't.

At the end of the day, to be a little hyperbolic, it's just porn. I don't think that's something that anyone should stress over, right? But there's also nothing wrong with a little "quality control" either.

I really do wish I could be allowed to share things I've created with AI that I think are dear to me with the people on this website. It's not just porn: Anything that we post on this website has the potential to damage our account even months after we post it with no warning. It appears we can and will be severely punished just for trying to share things with others, unfortunately. Even things that comply with all of the rules still carry the potential to cause damage to our accounts some day. Uploading anything to this website is a literal minefield and a complete gamble.

WERE HERE FOR PORN,

So I really wanna stress:

NO THE FUCK WE ARE NOT.

Sexuality has its place in art and I'm glad for it, but god damn. I'm here to see beautiful art, I'm here to see how the field of anthro AI art is evolving and improving, and wading through a hundred identical and boring Loona/Zootopia/Flavor Of The Week porn posts is the worst thing about using this site. It's not inherently bad, but holy shit is it BORING.

It's literally to the point that I deliberately just browse the site with 'rating:safe' on so that I can actually see what AI art directors here are accomplishing. (We see your work, SFW folks, and we appreciate you.)

As someone who had a bunch of submissions deleted, that I thought were perfectly fine, I totally understand the frustration. It was painful, and it's easy to just stay in denial. I didn't really want to post anymore.
Best thing was to sleep on it, look at some actual art for inspiration, better learn the tooling, and try again. And you know what, my submissions were bad, I just had low standards... And I'm much happier with my newest posts.
I think it's easy with AI generation to overlook faults, because you're not paying attention to any details as they get made. I've done traditional stuff, and it's easy to obsess over a small part of the canvas for hours as you put brush stroke after brush stroke. But with AI you get the whole thing at once, and unless you train yourself to recognize the flaws, you'll never realize where it's gone wrong. You need to learn to be your harshest critic.

Anyway that's just my 2 cents.

PS: I should make more SFW stuff...

Personally I don't know how anyone can use this website with the constant fear of having our pictures deleted and our account penalised (which equates to severe punishment) just for even trying to share something with the world.

this is a curated booru
of course there will be deleted posts or you think this place is like a personal gallery of somesorts?

Edit: there are other websites and there is the Uploading Guidelines to check if you are unsure if something will get deleted
people tend to overlook what they generate and don't seem to care enough to check them

I don't think an upload limit reduction by 0.25 is a "severe punishment". Because that is all that is going to happen if you get a post deleted. And every approved post will increase the limit again. There are users with hundreds of deleted posts, you don't get "punished". You only have to expect action against your account if you actually post something illegal and not just something that is against the quality guidelines.

As with the points I made earlier this thread (and in the previous topic #491), some just want the rules to be "please accept my minimal-effort slop" rather than make something that's more than just that, and see anything that opposes that idea as penalty/punishment.
It's not worth trying to explain to people who don't want to listen and/or make an effort.

Some people already spend multiple days, weeks, and sometimes even over a month to get the AI programs to make something as good as it possibly can be with the least amount of flaws (nothing made with AI can be completely perfect with zero flaws). Then they post it here and hope that their best (After all that effort) is good enough. Then they get it approved thinking "Great! I did something good and it's good enough for E6AI!" only to get slapped in the face 3 months later and told "Oh that picture you put all that effort into making perfect that we said was good enough 3 months go, actually isn't good enough today." ... I'm sure I'm not alone to find out our best things we can make and spent a lot of time in perfecting isn't "Good enough" for the holy E6AI website. They actually expect people making AI artwork to only share completely perfect things with no AI flaws on this website. This place is completely laughable. They want people to submit AI artwork then penalise us when we submit AI artwork... lol. If they want people to submit AI made artwork then they have to accept that sometimes some pieces will have some minor flaws in them. That's just how AI artwork is.
