    i'm more of an user of the Other site, and a "real" artist who draws, but I sympathize with this userbase. I simply do not believe "AI training" is theft (and a lot of art is derivative anyways. proposing draconian copyright laws disguised as protecting against AI would just be absolutely terrible for ALL fanart) or that an individual user's usage of AI causes significant environmental harm (it doesn't, companies do though)
    much like most things in life, there's a lot of nuance to things than simply "AI bad"
    unfortunately people will be reactionary no matter what, and sometimes a moral panic will get them what they want. i guarantee we WILL be looking back at this discourse and remember it as having gone the exact same way as when the photo camera was invented. "90% of everything is crap" was already true before AI, too
    don't let this discourage y'all. give it time

    ps: for anyone looking for likeminded individuals, the AWAY collective is a pretty nice community and resource.

    I usually don't say much, but damn.

    I'll miss this place, truly. It was one of the only places in the world I felt comfortable expressing my furry preferences, and now I just feel like I'm being shoved back into the closet I was in before all of this. Thank you to everyone who made this site what it was. Staff, directors, commenters, uploaders, everyone. No other AI site compares to the quality that e6AI had, not in terms of art, tagging, the community. None. This place taught me how to be better with my gens, and I don't think anywhere else could have done the same. I can only hope for at least a near-perfect alternative, or a reversal of this decision somehow.

    It was nice while it lasted. 🥲

    As you may have already known the news, it was a shocker. The past several hours have been very tough and emotional, and I expect the feelings to stay for days or weeks.

    I found this site after having problems with Civitai, and also feeling that my content caters more to this community. The guidelines were hard to deal with the first few times, but it taught me that it's not "gen one and done", and it made me a better director.

    Even though I have only been on this site for 6 months and only did 31 posts, good memories and friends have been made along the way, and I don't think any other community can compete with that.

    I would like to give a shoutout to n_n for not just being the first commenter for my first ever post here, but also for being the kindest soul on this site.

    Thank you e6ai for allowing me to post my genAI content and helping me throughout this journey.

    I'm not going away though, e6ai Discord server still exist. Hope to meet you there.

    I really love your post! Unfortunately, I feel like most people here, myself included, tend to favorite things that immediately catch their eye. Sometimes, even if I really like a post, I’ll only upvote it because I want to keep my favorites curated and don’t necessarily want everything I like to appear there. It’s also hard to pin down what people like, since everyone has different tastes.

    For posts where the content or concept deserves more attention, especially contest entries, I wish there were a separate voting system instead of relying on favcount. I guess upvotes are meant to fill that role, though? It’s just a shame they don’t seem to have much practical impact.

    Of course, that’s just my personal take. I also understand we only have a very small number of developers maintaining the whole site, so there are bigger priorities. Thank you for all the work you guys do!

    Kind of in a similar situation as well. My NSFW entry that I posted more than two weeks ago has not even reached 40 faves, and it's an image that I have planned for months and got a chance to do it for this contest. Not sure if it's because I wasn't the first one to do a yin yang concept or that I wasn't the first to do a high-angle view of a 69 sex position.

    As for my other posts, I don't even expect them to reach 100 upvotes nor 100 faves for a long time or at all. As much as I like to do concept images, whether SFW or NSFW, sometimes, my dopamine gets hit so hard that I have to do "human on feral" content just to stabilize it.

    It's not only you who has this issue.

    Actually this is related to another thing that's been crushing me lately. I feel like I'm the least favored otter creator on the entire site, for example my project post #63778 takes 23 months to reach 451 faves, and post #180034 took just a week to surpass me. I've been trying various scenes for 2+ years and I've never reached the 500 faves mark like a recent post #178052 did.

    An artistic project post #170008 is rated less than its knockoff inspired remix post #172719 , how come?
    Bro didn't even care about removing the hallucinated text from the camera ^
    Same with post #172870 vs post #179424
    Even their recent simple SFW post #181141 has already left my complex contest entry in dust

    This kills absolutely any motivation to create because you just know it'll never truly take off. I'm genuinely interested in asking people what they find so unappealing about my projects. But I must come up with words that won't make me sound whiny (like now, perhaps)

    Going on a days-long field trip in several hours, and I don't know if I'm going to be able to bring my laptop along, so I wouldn't expect much from me. I'll keep in touch with my phone though. Feel free to suggest anything else in the meantime (comfort permitting). Just don't suggest video gens, I have PTSD trying to get Seedance 2.0 to follow my prompts, just for them to fail the guidelines. It put a hole on credits on an app (very high timeout error chance with no refunds from it) and a good of of my blue buzz on Civitai. Don't know any other sites with decent video gen models without having to pay with real money, any alternatives are helpful here.
