    For the elite class, their bevy of servants and other hires would likely include a beastmaster responsible for procurement. For everyone else, self sufficiency with whatever can be found locally is the norm (or a friend that can do this). That is, taming and animal handling in general is a widely practiced and well understood skill, culturally. If you want something else, you'd likely see an entourage of non-native critters accompanying the traders that come and go. But they don't really settle down into a shop, it's more like a street bazaar sort of thing.

    Like many other too-small-to-fit species, these super-sized breeds appeared eons ago through artificial efforts

    Now I'm imagining some ancient elf wizard drunk as hell making Fuckable Dire Squirrels TM to sell at the side of the road.

    Probably getting too invested in the lore but now I'm curious to see the other breeds of animal that were created through selective breeding. A farmyard lineup with lore blurbs perhaps?

    Yeah, it's Dimwitdog's style. Granted that I didn't intend for it to be 1:1 copy of her artstyle (if you check the prompt from image metadata has three artists mentioned).

    The thing is, her artstyle is so unique and strikingly different that it seems to leak into any piece where her name is mentioned. Nowadays when I mention her in the prompt I do it in such a way that the artstyle stops being applied at like 35% way through, because otherwise it just ends up only her. And although I do love her style, it feels very wrong generating images that are in the exact same style as a traditional artist.

    I've made two exceptions - one for the image on my pfp (though that one is far more diluted) and one for this piece. This is because both of those generations come from November from when I was first messing around with AI image generation, and neither of them would have any of their charm without her artstyle.
