Description

The Sun Crest: Southeast of Ineo, a stretch of desert buffers the temperate zone with the equatorial savanna regions. Despite the oppressive heat, the Sun Crest is often considered a vacation destination, or rather Silvermist City is, the desert's jewel. Compared to Ineo, desert environments face far less environmental corruption from errant magic, and so the people of the desert live a less militant lifestyle. Instead, their culture is marked by decadence, exotic fashion, and showy harems.

More lore...

Dragons: Silvermist City is one of the few places you'll find actual dragons living in a city, and that's largely due to the fact that they rule over the place. The fifty or so dragons you'll find there are all related, part of a ruling dynasty. The city state's highest authority is known as the High Font, which has traditionally always been a dragon, though most of the day to day rule is done through a council of various citizen races.

Faerixi: The fennec cousins of the folrixi, their busy-body high energy style lends to an ambitiousness that has put them in the majority power after the dragons.

Aevik: While the avians are found all throughout Midria, Silvermist is where they have assumed the greatest role. Unlike the combat-adverse trili up north, aevik make up a bulk of the land's militant wing, and plenty don a distinct guards' uniform, patrolling the streets.

Dhinalel: Though the lizards make up nearly half of the city's population, their go-with-the-flow apathetic nature drives little desire for elite positions of responsibility. They tend to live simple, humble lives doing lower-class jobs throughout the lands.

Kolloss: One of the few examples of practitioners of racial sovereignty, as opposed to multi-species kingdoms, the turtlefolk choose to instead live among their own kin in subterranean settlements elsewhere throughout The Crest. Their tunnels are built for their small size, and so only the smallest of races have even seen what their underground towns look like. Occasionally, they'll emerge to assist the Misters with the odd threat that comes around.

Chirling: Most batkin would prefer to live in Silvermist if given the choice, but are unfortunately priced out of residency. As it turns out, most jobs require functional hands! A few have landed fitting jobs as messengers or scouts, but the rest of them are survivalists living throughout the greater wilderness. Evolved and adapted, the bats are known for being especially social and quick to make friends should the opportunity present itself.

Gnoll: Few know the secrets of the desert better than the gnolls. Though the odd gnoll may be seen living in the city from time to time, most live in tribal settlements wherever water may be found. These villages often act as rest stops for caravans and travelers trying to pass through the desert, in need of water and supplies. The gnolls are an oddly secretive bunch and will typically wear a mask around strangers or in public.

Inean Expats: A sizable chunk of Silvermist's population is made up of northerners. Notably, accomplished nagas whom have had enough of the winter cold sometimes retire to Silvermist hoping to land a cushy harem or concubine position. And as a trade hub, a great deal of information and unusual wares pass through, attracting no shortage of opportunistic fenn.
