Description

Syth, the Blue Winged Alien.

-Ye'zah story arc, Chapter 2

As a member of X.E.G.O –Xenognosis- your mission is to explore the universe, searching and observing every living xeno species. It’s an honor to be part of X.E.G.O.

“Well, it’s been a week I am on this tropical rainy planet and I got an egg to care since the first day. It’s indeed a fertilized egg, X.E.G.O sent me enough data to care for it. The egg is resting partially submerged in water in ambient temperature while he is being “rained on” by automatic sprayer. It’s still quite surprising that the mother let her own eggs flow in the river but I can conclude it’s the usual reproductive cycle of the creature. But in contrary to turtles were only few survive to go to the ocean, it seems this one doesn’t have many or even one predator. That also mean the youngs can survive on their own..or, another hypothesis is they have to find their own mother, were “getting back to” is a form of initiation ? Anyway, the hatching is for the next week it seems. I also spotted Ye’zah 3 times this week, I don’t think she particularly is observing me, it’s more like she is living in the area, she mostly collect food, berries, plants, mushrooms.”

Fully charged.

“Ah, Dob is good to go, end of the record, time to do some more exploration, I spotted a blue flying creature above a pond, I want to approach it. I just have a 15 minutes walk, stealth on, and go.”

5 minutes after departing.

“Ah, I recognize this eyes looking at me like my stealth suit is the most useless thing on earth. Stealth off. Hello Ye’zah’”

She was picking berries, eating some but also putting some inside a big leave. She did a little waving to me so I approached her, we say hello by putting our forehead together, it’s certainly an habit for her specie. The translator advance very slowly to understand her words, she doesn’t “talk” much, but it’s not a problem, she is simple and easy to understand, the gestures are universals.

“How are you today ? Collecting food I see.”

“Azeh hyt ium ?”

She take some berries and offer them to me, I know they are edible with a nice taste.

“Ho thanks ! You are too nice, by the way, your young is developing well, am I going to be a single father or do you plan to come by ?”

I accompanied my words with gestures, mimicking and egg in my hands and then did a thumb up, I saw a smile, she was wiggling her hips and ass funnily, she is happy.

“Eev itt imi !”

“Anyway, I need to go, I need to do an observation on another creature, see ya’ Stealth on.”

I waved at her, she did the same and came back to what she was doing. I like simple creatures.

Then, at the pond.

“Ah, I see it, he is at the other side, I will just lay on my belly in the high grass and wait. Let’s take some initial notes;

- Winged creature.

- Blue skin, dark blue scales with beige chitin plates on her front side.

- Armless, legless, has a female shaped torso and hips, very large hips but, no thighs, it’s a big abdomen with a prehensile tail ?

- The creature is more floating than actually flying in the proper sense, the movements of her wings are slow, this is somewhat a stealthy creature.

- Glowing blue eyes, hope she can’t see me…

- Her wings are linked to her head and back, very unusual.

- Breasts ? I don’t see well.

Oh, she is coming this way, good. She is probing the water with her tail, she have a stinger on the tip. The creature is fishing, she uses her tail and stinger as a harpoon…she got a fish ! But oh what the fuck !“

The creature have a strange hole between her “thighs”, I couldn’t see it before, but it’s her mouth ! This one is a strange one ! The creature is coming closer, still probing the water, she is close now but doesn’t seem to see me at all, good. I have a great view now.

Her anatomy is extremely surprising, her nipples are strange, is that nipples ? And what is this strange opening on her belly ? The slit at her crotch seems to be her genitals, at least, this one thing seem well placed…wait, her areolas…NO WAY ! This is her eyes ! Big black compound eyes ! But the head ? There is no mouth on her head, no nostrils…but the blue glowing eyes ? They seem perfectly normal, blinking and all…wait, wait…let me see the scan of Dob…ah. That explain everything. This is pseudo eyes on a pseudo head, and the opening on the belly is her nose. I never saw a thing like this ! And, why this shape anyway ? Why mimicking a humanoid ?

Sound of slow walking noises behind.

“Uh ?” Look behind

“Ye’zah ? What are you doing here ? You followed me didn’t you.”

The creature hovering above the water was surprised by my voice, she clearly didn’t saw me.

Ye’zah still had her leave with the berries inside, she was alternating her gaze between me and the other creature. The creature was still probing the water but she looked at Ye’zah, I didn’t knew if it was dangerous for her or not.

“Dyf phi brya”

She said, while looking at the other creature, the creature then stopped probing and hovered closer to us. I took a look on Ye’zah, she was calm, she was just waiting the creature to come over. I was kneeling at this moment, Ye’zah pointed at me and approached to touch me. The other creature approached and smelled me, the creature then said something with her strange mouth, the wording sound was deep. I decided to get up and unstealth, this surprised the creature even more, that made her startle in the air. And then, they started to…discuss ? while looking at me between some words. What a strange world. The small wording they use is not very different, they seems to know each other.

Ye’zah continued to gently tap me on the leg, the other creature approached again, smelled me and did some gentle tap with her tail. Ye’zah took my left hand and pat it on the creature “hip”, she then moved my hand to encourage me to touch the creature a little more, like they did. It’s just a simple trade of physical curiosity by all means, I used this moment to touch the chitinous part of her “belly” just for the feel, I think I tickled her. Just after all this findgeting, Ye’zah pulled my suit to make me look at her and then pointed at the creature and said;

“Seeff”

“Seath ? Site ? Syth ?”

The two acknowledged the last spelling.

“Well, nice to meet you Syth.”

Syth approached her torso, well, her head, so her forehead which is between her eyed breasts and put it on mine, like we did with Ye’zah.

“So, this is a friend of yours ? As we say, the world is small. I have the data I wanted, I am going to get back on the settlement, want to walk with me ?”

I gestured the direction, she acknowledged, we waved at Syth and departed while Syth returned to her probing. We talked while slowly walking (Ye’zah is slow), I didn’t knew what she said and she certainly didn’t understood what I said either but it was fun, and the translator is starting to put sense on the wording, maybe we will communicate in an understandable fashion soon. And when being next to my door…

“Want to come inside ? To see your young ? Well, the egg.”

I did the gestures, she accepted, she was curious about the equipment but she didn’t touched anything before “asking”, she mostly pointed at things and when she saw her egg, she took it in her hands and put her forehead on it. She seemed happy and put the egg where he was just before. She then gave me a little hug, it was so heartwarming ! But she didn’t stayed long, she pointed at her berries, maybe she wanted to put them in her “home” if she has one ? So we walked to the door, we did the forehead thing, we waved and she departed. She is nice.
