    As someone who has done a bit of inpainting, I'm going to guess:
    SD generated it with the paw overlapping the stones like that, and the genner decided to have fun with it, and added the smoke and burn mark.
    A giveaway, that I haven't figured out how to avoid, is brushstroke resolution. The grainyness elsewhere, mimicking the effect of bristles on canvas, changes in density when inpainting at a higher resolution.

    that's really nice. i wonder if it was fully generated with minor edits by hand or just selectively assisted with manual painting involved. and if it was mostly generated then i'd really like to get the model files needed for something like this
