    Her lower hand isn’t fully flat on the ground. She’s supporting herself more with the front part of her fingers, slightly curved, so the palm isn’t actually the lowest point. That shifts where the wrist visually appears to start.

    If you take that into account and look at the proportions from wrist to elbow and elbow to shoulder, they’re actually very close in length. Small variations like that are also normal anyway, since people don’t all have identical proportions.
