To make the perfect, fluffy pancake, avoid over-mixing the batter and cook patiently over medium heat.

    Ingredients:
    250 g wheat flour (Type 405)
    2–3 tbsp sugar
    2 tsp baking powder
    1 pinch of salt
    2 eggs (size M)
200 ml milk (Tip: replace some of the milk with yogurt or buttermilk for extra moistness)
A little butter or oil for cooking

    Preparation:
Mix dry ingredients: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Add wet ingredients: Add the eggs and milk.

Mix briefly: Briefly whisk the batter just until everything is combined. Small lumps are fine—over-mixing makes the batter tough.

Let it rest: Allow the batter to sit for 10 to 15 minutes so the baking powder can activate and the batter thickens.

Cook gently: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a little fat.

Flip at the right moment: Pour 2 tablespoons of batter into the pan for each pancake. Flip when small bubbles form and pop on the surface. Cook briefly on the other side until golden brown.

Magnolia is so precious and Seth is being so sweet with her! This is such a great start of a beautiful multi-series story. I’m so invested into the characters.

Well I guess that settles it - if there were ever to be a Midria RPG, this char would have to be the fence in the game.

Ok, folks, I'm going to throw a big bucket of... something... on your fantasy of a just universe and say something paradoxical, probably upsetting and definitely controversial.

That dog is better off tied to a tree than surrendered to a shelter in most of the world.

It's a black dog. That alone would cause it to have a 1:12 to 1:20 chance of walking out of a shelter on its own feet. Presumably it's a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, which in many areas is considered a "dangerous" breed... for no real reason in particular than their size and defensive habits. That means the likelidhood is less than half the normal black-dog odds. 1:24 to 1:40. And that's even in "no-kill" shelters. They make people _feel_ good about the concept, but they do kill animals surrendered to them - those they consider "unadoptable" for physical or behavioral reasons. That often includes "dangerous" breeds and presumed mixes just out of hand. Surrender a pedigreed Rottweiler, Dobermann or even a Great Dane? Chances are they'll be in the dumpster before 2 hours are past. Just as a matter of routine. 24 hours at the greatest (presuming the shelter has a mandatory hold to prevent lawsuits).

Then there's the people that have said "if you can't..." You do realize circumstances can change without warning. Take an acquaintance of mine, for example. He didn't figure that an industrial accident would almost cost him both legs, and would put him in the hospital for 6 weeks. His Rotty "Goober" (registered name was Heinrich, but... Goober suited him better) would have been dead. Most friendly love-everyone please-play-with-me snuggle-up dog you'd meet, but he was 1). black in color, 2). "dangerous" breed, and 3). intact male. Three strikes.

Had John not had an external support network, Goober would have been better off tied to a tree or lamppost in the hope someone caring would come by, than surrendered to any official body. And that's from someone that's been an animal trainer and handler (and not just domestic dogs) for over 40 years.

Like it or not, that's the reality for the _civilized_ world. It gets worse from there elsewhere, and even other parts of the world people consider themselves "civilized".

Comment and complain as you see fit.

I get dragged to dog shows yearly, and have met a decent number of "problem" breeds. The problem is 95% the owner not knowing how to teach the dog, not the dog itself. And before anybody can argue about "violent breeds", there's 2 malinois living in my house, a breed that is used by police for a very good reason. 1 has issues with being quiet at times, but both are very friendly dogs. We also have a 14 pound pedango, that we leave loose with the mals without issue.

One of the biggest problems is puppy mills, that breed dogs all the time to try to make a profit, doing no testing or anything, and ending up with puppies that have things like siezures, and are likely to die very young.

Tying a dog up to a tree/post isn't just stupid, it's a quick way to get the dog killed if it is attacked. People use facebook and other platforms to re-home dogs and other pets, which is less likely to get the dog killed. And all without the need of an animal shelter.

It's always downvoted, but the scat community needs to build its own material somewhere.

Yeah, scat tag is usually blacklisted by default, so it’s always a bit strange when people go out of their way to unblock it, keep downvoting, and never explain why — like whether it’s the details, the art style, or something else. What's more, some people would rather blacklist a specific director instead of blacklisting an entire tag. Compared to e621, the atmosphere here definitely feels a bit different.

    animated series incoming?

Although models have gotten to the point where making a consistent animated scene is way easier than a consistent comic even with the videos taking much longer to generate, I feel an AI animated series with pictographic dialogue is just asking for divine punishment.

The upcoming page was (supposed to be) a quick test of how convenient genning a video and then using it as a base for individual panels would be. Would've worked great if SDXL didn't fuck up the backgrounds completely, as usual. Also got me addicted to genning 2 second videos of the grey lynx getting her butt slapped, which delayed it by another day.
