A tailbutt is a body feature in which there is a completely smooth transition from belly, genital/anal area (if present) to tail, without visible glutes (i.e. no butt cheeks). This results in the tail looking like an unbroken extension of the torso area outward and feral-like haunches.

As a body feature it also often implies a bulge between the legs connected to the belly, visualized in official IP designs of characters like Dragonite or Goodra from Pokemon for example. The bulge will lead between the legs and smoothly connect to the tail behind. This may be the easiest way to identify a tailbutt without presenting hindquarters.

This body feature can commonly be seen in inflatables, toons, as well as 'pocket monster' type creatures from IPs such as Pokemon, Digimon and Palworld.
