Description

The wind tore at his face as he clung to the saddle, fingers digging into worn leather until his knuckles ached. Beneath him, her body pulsed with controlled power, each wingbeat sending tremors through his spine. He could feel the tension coiled in her muscles, the focused determination that had carried them across three provinces without rest.

"Easy," he murmured against the roar of air, pressing his forehead to her neck where scales gave way to soft, warm skin. "Almost there."

She answered with a low rumble that vibrated through his entire body, then banked sharply toward the distant mountains. The valley opened below them - flat and green, untouched by roads or settlements. Perfect isolation. Exactly what they needed.

As she descended, he guided her with subtle shifts of weight, the way his father had taught him decades ago. The ground rushed up to meet them: tall grasses bending in the wind, wildflowers nodding their heads. She touched down with a thud that jarred his teeth, then folded her wings and stood panting, her great chest heaving.

He slid from the saddle, legs unsteady on solid earth after hours aloft. The evening sun painted everything gold - the grass, the distant peaks, her iridescent scales shimmering like oil on water. She turned toward him immediately, lifting her head to nuzzle his cheek with her snout. Her breath smelled of copper and something ancient, like stones worn smooth by time.

"Good girl," he said, stroking along her jawline where the scales were smallest. "You flew well today."

As she pressed against him, seeking contact, his mind drifted back to that first conversation with his father. He had been sixteen, standing in the stable at dawn when old General Harcourt had called him aside.

"The bond," his father had said, lighting a pipe and staring into the middle distance, "is not like training a horse or even a dog. Wyverns cannot be commanded. They choose."

He remembered the confusion then, the naive assumption that military discipline applied to all creatures. And then the revelation - the truth about how wyvern riders actually functioned. Not master and beast, but mates. The loyalty ran deeper than any training could achieve; it was biological, absolute. A wyvern would die for its mate before it yielded an inch of ground.

And his father had sired her. Made her his half-sister in the only way that mattered to wyverns. The knowledge had sat heavy in his stomach for years, a fact he never spoke aloud but carried everywhere. When he mounted her, when they flew together into battle - it was all wrapped up in that single truth. He would sire more like her someday, continue the line as his father had done before him.

The wyvern shifted beside him now, turning to raise her tail. The motion drew his attention downward; already she was slick with anticipation, droplets forming at her vent and catching the sunset light. His thoughts evaporated in that instant.

Fumbling with his trousers, he managed to free himself - hardening rapidly despite the chill of evening air. She watched him with half-lidded eyes, her breathing growing more labored. When he reached her entrance, she pushed back against him eagerly, making impatient clicking sounds deep in her throat.

"You're needy today," he said, smiling as he began to probe slowly inside her. The heat enveloped him immediately; she was already prepared, wet and waiting. "All that flying worked you up."

She groaned - a sound like distant thunder rolling across the valley floor - and pressed harder against him. That ended his deliberation. He thrust forward fully, meeting her resistance with steady pressure until he broke through into her completely.

Her body convulsed around him, clamping tight in welcome. He held still for a moment, letting them both adjust to the fullness of it. Then she began pushing back against him, rhythmic contractions that demanded response.

"Alright," he said breathlessly. "You asked for it."

He started thrusting, slow at first, savoring the friction and heat. Her coos grew louder, more urgent; each sound drove him deeper into her, faster. The grass tickled his bare legs as they moved together, the wind cooling his sweat-dampened skin while inside her he burned. She matched his pace now, her hips rolling in counter-rhythm to his thrusts, building momentum until neither of them could stop.

The pleasure mounted like a storm gathering overhead - electric and inevitable. He felt it rising in himself, the familiar tightening that preceded release. Beside him, she whined high and thin, her body trembling with each thrust.

Together they crested.

He emptied himself into her with a groan that tore from his throat raw and ragged. She shuddered violently around him, squeezing so tightly he thought she might crush him - then released in waves of pulsing contractions that wrung every last drop from him. For several heartbeats they remained joined, breathing heavily as the aftershocks faded.

Slowly, he pulled free. Watching his seed leak from her vent, dripping onto the grass below, he felt a strange satisfaction settle over him. She was old enough now for eggs - mature and strong after years of flight and battle. The thought struck him suddenly: filling her with a clutch. Not just this momentary joining but something lasting, something that would live on after both of them died.

His member stirred again at the idea. Already hardening once more as he stood there dripping, watching his essence pool around her feet.

This time he did not wait; stepping forward, he pushed inside her quickly, finding her still slick from before. She gasped in surprise but immediately began moving against him, matching his pace without hesitation. Faster now than before - both of them driven by the knowledge that this could be more than just pleasure.

The sun dipped below the mountains as they moved together in the fading light, the valley growing dark around them while inside each other they burned brighter than ever.
