Raythan only have two sources of water: the Desert Aqueduct transports water from the North mountains to the settlements and cities, any attack angaist the Aqueduct is considered a taboo , but is not enough, the other main source are fruits grown from a plant that can survive and store fresh water within the fruit and given the Raythan are experiencing a Industrial Revolution and the plants themselves provide a lot of fuel that can be burned down, it was logical for them to use the dead plants as the fuel that powers their flourishing industry and machines, given the desert dosn't have wood and they relay from wood imports on the Template Forests and even then, it is considered too expensive and a waste burning a single log, instead they use it as construction or to make simple but effective weapons like spears.
