Description

Wise Old Birds: "Youth is wasted on the young," as the saying goes. Whoever was first to come up with this expression is lost to time, but most may assume the trili own it, considering how often they use it towards their own kin. While some parallels may exist with any other race, young adult trili are especially prone to demonstrating a scatterbrained, unfocused disposition, a behavior that only tempers down with advanced maturity. As such, compared to other races, jobs requiring a keen, focused mind are disproportionately handled by the older demographic within the trili subculture.

Furthermore, the trili widely practice skip-generation caretaking, a form of allocare where it is more common to be directly raised by one's grandparents. For the aging avians, there is a welcome peace in knowing that an important role in society awaits them even after they've retired from the traditional workforce.

The only thing that terrifies the mighty naga is watching what a trili fledgling does to their toys.

Also, shoutout to skeleton_(director). He wrote a story (detailed here) set in Midria featuring an elderly trili that inspired this picture.
