Description

While most dinosaurs are long gone, a few species can be found in the tropical zone. The scaly variety are seldom seen outside these climates, due to their biological requirements.

Still, the raptors tend to see humans frequently enough to know how to engage with them.

---

I felt I had to make an attempt v2 on my real derpy SD1.5-era raptor post #8461. Modern models handle these species pretty well now, thankfully! Like before, not really meant to be anatomically correct, just a fantasy dino.

  • That's great improvement compared to previous scaly raptor! It looks pretty good for a fantasy raptor here. I like her figure, shapely legs, slender neck and feminine muzzle and eyes. She's in a very fun size, reminds me of Deinonychyus ^^

I see in the tropical regions of Midria there are many clever girls and boys who know just right how to make a friendly relations with humans. Perhaps with enough time they may be domesticated because such close relations with humans would be beneficial for their species. They would be excellent in search and rescue actions, hunt assist, crowd controll and of course, excellent lovers and companions.

Oh I may have worded that poorly. It's not that they aren't already, just that it's something you'd mainly only see in kingdoms within the tropical zone. Except for a few example, most Midrian posts seem to take place in the fantasy world equiv of europe and north africa, as far as climate goes. Keep moving farther south towards the equator, where it's perpetually warm and humid, and you may start running into creatures like these.

Drawing on irl premise, reptiles that rely on such a climate do not do well outside it. However maybe the odd noble with wealth to throw around could construct an artificial habitat for their lil' menagerie garden. You'd be more likely to see the feathered raptors up north instead.

  • On the topic of dinosaurs. Are these your works published on SoFurry under the nickname Winter Raptor? It seems like this has already been discussed here, but I can't find where.

That'd be me, tho I'm not sure about the rest of what you're asking. If you're talking about my other raptor-related literature, that was all unrelated fiction.

I asked about the dinosaur stories published there. Can I have their translation posted on a furry works site?

Sounds fine to me. But if you had any questions or more to discuss about it, send me a DMail on here, or discord if you're on the furry diffusion server.

Ah, I see they aren't exctinct anywhere else. They simple live only there due to their climate needs. Thanks for explanation.
I think a noble could afford having such companion and fulfill all her needs.

I remember the raptors are often couriers in Midria so people may stumble upon them up in the north regions. Iimagine they'd not say no to good petting of their feathers and more even if the delicery may be a lil late.

I am a big fan of your raptor x human stories. The main raptor character was beyond adorable.
