Topic: malo VS. mal0 and tag conventions

Just curious here on a few minor points.

We have malo that tags as a species when if I understand the lore correctly its mal0, and mal0 is the invited or sometimes uninvited app that SCP 1471 now can spawn from. There is no malo species and mal0 is just an app basically.

It actually makes more sense that SCP-1471 is the species, as SCP-1471-a - the most common skull headed variant we all know and love - is a character.

There's no official tag convention as far as I know. We do the best we can, trying to stay as close as the lore as possible.

Everyone can make tags, so it's a case of chaotic tag genesis: where the tags are made as they are needed, unchecked, growing, evolving.

That means you are the first to really notice the chaos and poke us about it... Which also means you are probably more expert than any of us in SCP lore.

Now, you can decide to fix it yourself with alias/implication/BUR requests, or wait for someone else to do it.

That said, 2 things you need to know:
- People usually work on tags from subject they care about (or at least, will more readily put effort into those subjects)
- We are a way smaller community than e621, which means there's a lot to do and much less people to do it.

I fully understand that, like drinking from a firehose 8-P I mainly asked in case It had already been asked/dealt with or otherwise resolved so im not beating a dead horse.

I think i know just enough to be dangerous, so will take a bit and doublecheck myself before comitting to a alias/implication/BUR request.

Fully aware of the staffing/size issues here, and I appreciate those that have the positions and responsibilities to deal with the operation of this site. 8-)

Too many words for me to read but 1471 is the app 1471-a/malo/mal0 is the wolf creature in robes

The correct is mal0 but malo can also be the prioritized name
It can be taken many forms thanks to the furry community so it's not just 1 singular specific design
