Topic: Alts vs Variants

I know that the site has a rule against variant spam, where multiple pictures generated from almost the same prompt are posted.
I'm curious how this rule affects alts, where it's instead the same picture but when some specific details changed.
I was thinking about making m/m, m/f, anal and vaginal alts for a post. This involves in-painting some parts with a slightly prompt, and isn't too dissimilar from making variants. I want to be sure that's not against the rule.

M/M and M/F is alright if thats it
different images being too similar without any significant changes are the rule of "spam"

changing the sex is a significant change enough to not be counted as spam
you can think more on the "significant changes" when thinking about all of these "being spammy"

I did ask about this on the Discord a little while back, because I did a series of pics that were same prompt and seed but with the species changed.
I got an "it should be okay".

EDIT: Thinking about it, I was asking about variants, but I think that maybe it might still apply?
