That's exactly what the AI-haters wanted, and now the site's shutting down because BD missed the profits from AI haters who boycott it over BD's tolerance for AI art.
There are already other sites out there. Maybe you guys should just move to one of them instead of creating yet another site that'll end up being the 25th one with 50 daily visitors.
I won't name any alternatives because that'd probably come across as advertising, which would be counterproductive.
That said, this site's rules and the way the staff treated AI artists were absolutely horrible. If you decide to clone it, please leave the moderators and upload rules behind. Get people who won't alienate AI artists instead. You know - friendly ones, capable of being reasoned with, willing to actually communicate with the userbase.
Just don't create another Discord. Anything but that shit!
And if you also ban content that's ecouraging harmful illegal activities, while still allowing harmless kinks, regarless of how "disconcerting" it is to some people, I think you'd attract way more users than you might expect. I would gladly join.
I periodically ask ChatGPT to find sites that strike this balance.
So far, I'm still waiting for a site like that to become popular enough to be a good place to settle down and share my AI generations.

While still not perfect, this was the BEST place to SEARCH for AI art. And lots of the posts here aren't anywhere else, big shame it's going.

The code this website is based on is open sourced. e621ng over on github. Recreating this website wouldn't be hard, even with all the same art and tags, but the quality control and community around everything here would be.

Mostly because people are butthurt about ai so I guess to appease the complainers so they don't have to deal with it anymore. A this is the final straw type thing. Of course this happened when I'm on vacation, I would have done a farewell post. The e6ai discord is not going away, the name will change but there is a gen sharing channel there too. People there are pretty cool.

People aren't tagging their posts properly, there's a million different tags for young characters people use, and there's little enforcement.
There're a few tags on Inkbunny which are totally enforced, with no alternative spelling allowed. These include "cub", "ai_generated", "ai_assisted". If somebody isn't using these tags in mandated cases, you should add the tag yourself (if the user hasn't disabled it) and then report it to the mods - they will act upon it.
Mind you, if you have an FA-style view on what a cub is (with half of Pokémon species being considered cubs), then filtering becomes harder. :) Generally, if you want to filter out something extreme, it's easy and works more or less reliably, but filtering vague stuff like "straight sex" is hard and won't work as well as on e621. e621 is unique in that regard - it easily has the geekiest tagging system in existence, which you won't find anywhere else. There're dev experiments on Inkbunny with tag aliases and implications, but it's pure experimentation atm, with no clear plans.
Seeing something you don't like in rare cases is pretty much inevitable on any gallery website which allows any random person to upload. There's a reliance on people not being dumb, and that assumption fails sometimes. :) People uploading on e621 are typically "professional uploaders", and any user can edit tags on any submission, with mods enforcing TWYS - this works for e621, but traditional gallery sites can't function this way. It's a compromise, in the end.
P.S. While Inkbunny doesn't have "default blacklists", I believe it suggests adjusting your settings in the welcome message, right after you register. I've also seen screenshots of popular blocked tag suggestions in the user interface (specifically aimed at the case of "I've registered and got surprised"), but I don't know when this feature will be released.

Takes alot more work then just typing a prompt and calling it a day. Some people spend days inpainting and manually editing a single picture.
People like you are the reason this site is shutting down. All you've archived is lowering quality standards for AI art as this was one of the only sites that requires you to actually perfect an image instead of just uploading raw gens with tons of mistakes.

PixAI switched their policy a while back to limit the NSFW content on their website by making it so that only the publisher can view the content. I still have the account for anyone who would want to see some of the more tame content that I've generated in the past. The comic unfortunately cannot be fully published there.

Like many others I have found that I prefer this site over the regular e621. I didn't know bad dragon owned this. Guess I shouldn't be surprised. Its been a while but I remember getting a warning from e621 admins after talking about some quality control issues I had with 2 of Bad dragons products. They were going to ban me for a simple remark. Wasn't even a negative remark. Sad to see this go but at this point in life I'm used to disappointment.

I will definitely miss the site, AI or not there was alot of awesome images to peruse and download. the staff are great and kept this site very clean and manageable with the abundance of AI generated images. im not going into the real/AI artist debate, each has its own pros and cons. I liked what I liked, the same as everyone else. we all have our interests. sad to see this site go, I really enjoyed seeing new images daily and seeing what was possible with AI generation for the furry community. RIP e6AI :(
