MakeFox's methods

Hinoserm believes that vibe coding is superior to human coding in every way and wished to make breakneck changes to the website at his whim, without the approval and without first telling either DRLa or our staff in general. Not only that, but he wants to upturn the site's codebase entirely and have his Claude agent swarm redo everything. He has shown no willingness to work together with DRLa. As an example, Hinoserm attempted to remove blep.art's takedown system without first consulting us. He does not understand the culture or the workings of the website. This is fine. What is not fine, is that he does not consult us before making sweeping changes. This has been a long-running theme in our short time working together. We believe that if we continued working with MakeFox, blep.art would shift away from our staff's and our community's vision against our will, either sooner or later. There was no way forward without betraying our community and essentially handing over the entire website to them on a silver platter. We tried talking it out over these last few days. We tried to have MakeFox see us as equals and value our input, but sadly this was not the outcome.What's next?
This has all transpired in the last few hours, and we are still recovering. The dust has not settled. We do not know what the future holds for us, other than knowing that this Discord server will continue onward. From now on, we, the staff members running this very server, will no longer associate with blep.art or MakeFox. Blep.art now belongs fully to MakeFox (it was them that bought the domain name and are hosting the website). We will not be curating any more content on Blep.art, nor will we be moderating it or supporting it in any way. This server continues to be fully run by us. MakeFox no connection to this server anymore. The future of Blep.art itself is completely unknown to us. We recommend that you stop uploading on Blep.art from now on, as we have lost complete faith in their ability to run what should have been the continuation of e6ai. We are sorry for having rushed into this and to have broken your trust. There is a possibility that the website will be taken down. This is completely speculative, but it would be wise to, once again, backup anything you need from the website ASAP. Why would we leave the new site if you’re ditching this one? I just found out about this news and am glad someone made a copy of this site. Although you should be keeping this one up and continue fighting the other site since I’m sure the community will help.

Don't forget to save the story! The art loses great value of depth without the story!

Only in my head. Amelie was asked about, so I finished hers up. Other than that, I wrote the basics and some rough outlines of the backstories for all the staff.

An annual reminder, it seems, to treat boorus as search engines and advertisement boards, not art storage. Rarely they also store content for a while after it got deleted on other sites (like DA), until the board itself is deleted, but realising that should only prompt you to put more effort into saving art pieces you like on your own drives.
Don't treat boorus like archives, folks. The "source" section of the post exists for a reason, and if you don't have your reason to fill that section in, you better make it up before you submit your post.

Huh, I had a comment mentioning the controversial new site b**p before shit hit the fan, staff must've deleted it. Dunno if it's a non grata url now, but you can find its address in the forums here easily. I don't know if I'll be posting there in the future. The suspiciously wealthy furry in charge of it has a romantic affair with Claude so strong that he fired all of the unpaid e6 staff which were telling him it's a bad idea to vibe that hard and fast. A rather ominous portent. Not to mention the at best amateurish and at worst malicious handling of the management shakeup. They pay for the servers and handle all the risks so it's all well within their rights, but I am baffled how neither side considered that settling the domain's true ownership and chain of command should be done before shouting "WE'RE BACK BABYYYYY" to the public rather than after. Really makes all those celebratory gens over there seem like premature ejaculation
Most of e6's discord-using userbase doesn't like the move and says they'll be sticking to the discord even if they don't get a new site rather than post there in solidarity with the former staff, but I ain't got nor want a public porn account for discord so obviously there's a bit of a pickle there.
Since all online spaces are currently fucked up, I'll be focusing on making a 5-fingered dataset and finally leaning how to make a lora. I'll just leave an announcment image on b**p today or possibly tomorrow and then take a hiatus on posting any gens untill the situation's clearer.
If the e6's staff make a new site I'll probably move there since they're the devil I know, but personally I don't mind posting on b**p in the state it currently is. Nothing they did is particularly unreasonable, although all of it could also be interpreted as excusing an attempted userbase takeover or even trolling.
Like seriously, b**p's owner said "Oh gosh! Sorry! I didn't mean to do that! I just don't know how the site works!" at least 3-4 times in the forums while explaining what happened. Maybe he should've tried harder to keep the people who did instead of making out with Claudio.

Being a nonprofit I don't understand why they would do this unless it involves money.

Long story short Bad Dragon owners don't want to be assosiated with AI content (e6ai) so they're axing the project on 13th.
Meanwhile we found someone else to host the site for us (MakeFox), but after
the site and data transfer (blepart) was completed the new owner has shown us too many red flags (we foolishly dismissed them before the transfer was completed) and thus the short lived cooperation came to an end.
(Examples being: -wanting to rewrite the entire codebase of e6ai through Claude (vibecoding), making it completely unreadable to our developer who's very familiar with e6 architecture;
-forcing us to sign a contract written by Claude (we're not even paid mind you), basically saying that everything including user content belonged to him, and he gets to do whatever he wants with the site, with zero possibility of negiotiating the contract's terms (he didn't want the site to remain as it was, as he believes that e621's battle tested coding is inferior to Claude's vibecoding)
-wanted to remove the takedown feature for users
-generally has very little patience, and wants to make changes NOW rather that consult anything with us before implementing it
-was negative towards us giving pushback for his sudden changes)
There's plenty more, but i'd have to leak the convos, which i'd rather not do.
Generally speaking the site would stray too far from what it is now and we didn't want that
