Mirage is a daughter of a Tajir al-Karimi (Merchant-Noble) of Desert Realm, controlling trade along the Great River - main North-South waterway of the Sultanate.
Like every Unicorn of her lineage, she is exceptionally (even uncannily) beautiful and intelligent, capable of low-level magic. Her spellcasting is spontaneous and instinctual, tied to her emotions - manifesting during singing (channelled, useless for direct combat), and with low control over its final effects.

Arrogant, gregarious and well-educated - Mirage is more than aware of her exceptional qualities, yet lacking much of 'lived-in' experience. She can cut you to the very core with her wit and sharp tongue, but in a real confrontation she is harmless - as an lady would be. Her hooves and horn are decoration, not weapons.
