Sally Acorn is a character originally from Sonic the Hedgehog: The Animated Series (referred to by fans as SatAM), and later in Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog as one of its main characters.

She is the princess of Planet Mobius and the strategist and leader of the Knothole Freedom Fighters (though she refers to Sonic as the leader), as well as Sonic's love interest. Extremely intelligent, Sally usually hacks into Robotnik's computers to find important targets in Robotropolis. Despite being very cautious, she can be as bullheaded as Sonic, and is surprisingly spontaneous when there is no danger. She utterly refuses to believe that her father is dead, and is constantly searching for him (she discovers that he is still alive in the episode "The Void").

In the cartoon, her species is never mentioned, although the script cites her as a squirrel. The comic series states plainly that she is a squirrel-chipmunk hybrid.
