Sorry for the time away, I needed a bit of a break. So many places, so many good memories. There are some nuances to FTL travel that isn't really discussed. While "Time Travel" as it's romanticized is how it works in one way, not so much in the other. When I go system to system time around me accelerates exponentially. This means hundreds or thousands of years have passed in a matter of hours for me. That is unfortunately time that the laws of nature do not allow me to get back. Even if I could go back to my favorite planets, the people I spent those sweet days with would be gone....or worse the species as a whole could be gone, or even worser the planet could be gone.

I reflect on these facts once in a blue moon and I can't help but be sad as I know that everything I've ever known and loved is dead.
