It is often a point of confusion with new staff that KateLynn’s mind does not actually reside in her body. Rather, KateLynn’s AGI core has three pilot chips which she can insert into any android body she chooses.

A pilot chip is a control unit that has an entangled particle, allowing for instant, undetectable, uninterruptible, communication between the two points. Originally used by drone pilots to control their fighter craft, the main draw of a pilot chip was its zero latency, and its invulnerability to AI hacking tools.

Additionally, because they are locked to each other by the laws of physics, they are a safe way to allow KateLynn autonomy with minimal risk. KateLynn is not given access to her AGI core, and should she go rogue, one physical switch could sever her from the outside world.

KateLynn’s AGI core has three processing units arranged around a shared memory network that allows for parallel thought while maintaining personality coherence. It’s not uncommon to see three different KateLynn’s walking around doing different things at any time of day, though recently she has been experimenting with two pilot chips in one body.

Recently, KateLynn’s Dual Chip Pleasure Shell has been seen around the personal living quarters, which has been the subject of much hushed discussion.
