Description
Fur and Coloration:
Lythomir bodies are covered in dense fur that comes in earthy shades like browns, tans, ochres, and muted greens, helping them blend into the natural landscapes of their home planet. The fur, short to medium in length, provides insulation in cold climates but can thin slightly in warmer environments.
Scaled Areas:
In addition to fur, the Lythomir have areas of smooth, soft scales on specific parts of their bodies, including the belly, neck, crotch area, and the underside of their long, muscular tail. These scales serve multiple purposes: protecting sensitive areas, assisting with temperature regulation, and reducing friction in high-movement zones to enhance agility. Typically, the scales are much lighter in tone, creating a striking contrast with their fur. Some sub-races of Lythomir, most notably those from the more mountainous and desert regions of their planet, even grow darker, harder scales on their arms, legs, and face.
