We have updated our quality standards found under our uploading guidelines.
This was done mostly because modern AI generations are of much better quality now than they have been in the past, and we would like for this archive to focus on displaying the best work, not just any and all work. Please take a moment to review the guidelines before uploading going forward now. Older submissions will be exempt for this at this point in time, but keep in mind in the far future we might clean those up as quality continues to improve.

MemberThat's very good, but how the hell did you make this resolution!?!?

Memberis it too high? I do love me some resolution. I just used ultimate sd upscaler idk.
TerraRaptor
MemberIf you don't mind some honest critique - yes, it is.
For one thing, it's sort of cumbersome to download on slower connections and uses more storage space if you want to save a copy. But more importantly, in this instance, the higher resolution doesn't really seem to be doing the art any favors. For example if you zoom in on the detailing of the eye, the eye doesn't appear to be any more detailed than a typical 1k image.
Resolution matters aside, nice hmofa piece though <3

MemberI agree with TerraRaptor, resolution matters very little if it's not proportional with the image quality. It just stretches the original pic and fills the spaces with artifacts. So you're actually decreasing the image quality while also making it heavier. That's why sites like e621 actually prefer PNG over higher resolution, because of it's fidelity.
I'm not sure how AI upscaling works though.
