Yep, that's a big question. Probably the easy way to explain it is some sci-fi energy shield that just makes a bubble around the user. But for classic and retrofuturism designs there is no choice but something like tightly attached and sealed tail-bag. It can probably be form fitting to have at least mediocre looks 🤔
