Description

Pastoralism vs Cultivation: Sheep are one of the few "double domesticated" ferals around, having been through both conventional domestication methods prior to the Druidic Age, and later again with feral empathification. And so, they have both a practical domestic role in society while also mingling with it on a higher level, as shown.

Throughout Ineo, sheep fleece operations are a largely decentralized, small-scale practice. They are typically found in rural mountain communities where agricultural difficulties make way for pastoral use, and it is common for individual townsfolk to each look after one or a few wandering about. Aside from fashion trends being rather minimalistic to begin with, what remains of it - things like capes and revealing dresswear - tend to favor lighter textiles such as linen, cotton or silk, not wool. Overall, the current state of textile trade sees wool as a niche luxury, as plant-based solutions are far more practical thanks to the Old World's advanced efforts.
