Description

The Niniwa: A quirky enigma of contradiction, the niniwa (wahs) balance the solitary nature of their feral origins with an exceptional social grace. Rather than straddling both modes simultaneously, they compartmentalize their lives into distinct cycles of solitude and gathering, routinely spending long stretches of time in secluded focus to refine a craft or secure their livelihood, only to eventually emerge and rejoin the fold, eager to celebrate with their peers and proudly show off the fruits of their quiet labor.

Pictured, one such member of the covenant is eager to demonstrate her study of plexumancy - a type of stimulating magic that commonfolk simply refer to as "sex magic."

Extra lore: The Iris Covenant

When it comes to magical affinity among the mammalian beastkin, the niniwa are second only to the laplets. But compared to those rabbitfolk, the niniwa's bluer magic style is much more public-facing, showy, and spectacular, feeding into their arcane reputation. Playing to their strengths, they are a relatively organized people working to foster one another's arcane talents, periodically meeting up to exchange knowledge and offer help. Collectively, these gatherings and networks form the Iris Covenant and are identified by their black-and-white, wide-brimmed, conical hats and a distinct aesthetic that outsiders often refer to as wahch style.
