"Those aren't me," Miriam Hayes said when asked about this picture from 1928, not looking the interviewer in the eyes. "I was the one behind the camera this time. The naked one's Freya. The topless one's Lexi. And they both served in the trenches with me. After we came home, the three of us became inseparable, and they were the life of the party. That night they were competing who could get a man's attention first," she said with a weak laugh. "Lexi actually won that bet. I guess the bloke wanted something to take off of her... god I miss them."
