My name is Stalwart Shield, and I have been a soldier for six years now. Recently I've had the honor of training to join the Royal Guard, which is my life's ambition. Though I am living my dream with each day, I do miss certain things.
You have always been a great inspiration to me; your beauty, strength, and humility are something I admire to a great degree. When I was a soldier originally, I had a portrait of you to remind me of the reason I serve as a protector, as you are a breathtaking mare that I would do anything to protect. Living in the barracks now, I have left my possessions behind.
We are permitted small photographs of loved ones, but being a single stallion, I have no wife to cherish. I would be greatly honored if you would be so generous as to send a photograph of yourself to the barracks, so that I may maintain my focus and morale with you as my muse.
