Topic: Indigo Park Characters Implying Indigo Park Series Tag

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #677 is pending approval.

create implication rambley_raccoon (19) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication lloydford_l._lion (7) -> indigo_park (4)

Reason: Rambley Raccoon and Lloydford Lion are both from the series Indigo Park, so the character tags should imply the series tag. There are more Indigo Park characters but currently it looks like only these two are on e6ai - should we get the e621 tags for the other characters and setup the implications for them too?

The bulk update request #678 is pending approval.

create implication finley_the_sea_serpent (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication mollie_macaw (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication salem_the_skunk (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication chip_the_cockatoo (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication pip_the_parrot (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication tiki_the_toucan (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create implication skurv_the_coyote (0) -> indigo_park (4)
create alias lloydford_l_lion (0) -> lloydford_l._lion (7)

should we get the e621 tags for the other characters and setup the implications for them too?

Reason: Sure, but also, don't feel pressured to put any more than you want/need to, every bit counts. That's up to you if you feel like doing the ones you're more concerned about or whether you want to get everything else "out of the way" so to speak so that they're just done ahead of time. In this case, I've gone ahead and posted the rest of the characters that I could find for you, with some not having existing implications/tags even on e621. I set up the alias for Skurv because the existing tag for them on e621 has (indigo_park) at the end whereas the other characters don't, so this is just for consistency. Regarding that alias, I don't think that name will be confused for any other character any time soon, and if it does, we can just take care of that if that time comes. The other alias for Lloydford is just in case someone accidentally mistags without the period in the name.

I understand why you'd like to alias is like so, but disambiguated tags (ei. *_(<franchise>)) should not be aliased to the more "ambiguous" tag.

I concede that skurv_the_coyote don't need the *_(<franchise>) form, but in general that's a bad idea. (A) It makes a precedent that the alias can go to both ways, and the impression the alias should go to the more "sensible" tag. (B) It will eventually create situations where we'll have to reverse the alias anyway.

Since there's no post under skurv_the_coyote_(indigo_park), I propose to erase that line.

Alright, I removed that line then.
