Topic: Direct upload whitelist requests

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Uploading using URLs has been possible over E621 for a decade
and with the direction of still recent creation of E6AI, we don't possess any Upload Whitelists
This Thread is for both raise awareness and to be used to make requests for new whitelisted domains for uploading

If you have a site to suggest, please post it here, along with the domain that all media from that site directly reside on
(for example Twitter -> https://pbs.twimg.com)

Civitai

Site -> https://civitai.com/

Direct Link -> https://image.civitai.com/*
(I don't know exactly how the whitelisting works but it would be either as it is above or as https://image.civitai.com/*/*/*/*.*

As given by example of post #118757
with the source link being https://civitai.com/images/91072962
and the full direct link being https://image.civitai.com/xG1nkqKTMzGDvpLrqFT7WA/f1444707-5a17-404b-9a8d-b9ae0c6cf581/original=true,quality=90/V9WMGPYJE1CR5SQKK59EJ8WRF0.jpeg

Counter argument: do we want to make it easier to upload low quality content that will just end up deleted? This is especially a concern with Civitai.

sometimes it pass sometimes it doesn't
it will heavy more onto the uploader, to actually pay attention and not spam everything, which as far as i know, this has happened enough times already by the amount of forum topics made about it because people can't read

and this isn't different than just downloading, uploading and deleting afterwards

I mean, given the site's history, I'm sure people are going to do that regardless.

This makes no real difference. If someone is going to upload something with errors in it, they were going to do so with the file itself regardless of this function. Not being able to use an image URL to upload is hardly a barrier to entry that will actually stop people from doing that. Even the other user who made a thread about this function that prompted the creation of this thread eventually just went to upload their images using the files instead of the link (and yes, they got deleted for errors). This is just a "nice to have" convenience feature. It's also a genuinely "broken" feature right now because you can't even use it due to the currently blank whitelist.

Anyway, here are some domains from the e621 list that I'm fairly confident are AI-neutral:

4chan - i\.4cdn\.org -Path \/.+
Artstation - (cdn.\.)?artstation\.com -Path \/.+
Bluesky - [-A-Za-z0-9]+\.[-A-Za-z0-9]+\.host\.bsky\.network -Path \/xrpc\/com\.atproto\.sync\.getBlob.*
Bluesky (old) - bsky\.social -Path \/xrpc\/com\.atproto\.sync\.getBlob.*
Catbox - files\.catbox\.moe -Path \/.+
DeviantArt (1) - [^.]+\.deviantart\.(net|com) -Path \/.+
DeviantArt (2) - images-wixmp(-.+)?\.wixmp\.com -Path \/.+
Dropbox - dl\.dropboxusercontent\.com -Path \/.+
Facebook - [^.]+\.fbcdn\.net -Path \/.+
imgBB - i\.ibb\.co -Path \/.+
imgur - i.imgur\.com -Path \/.+
inkbunny (new) - inkbunny\.net -Path \/.+ (Inkbunny was already mentioned above but just in case it helps someone to have this format instead, here it is)
inkbunny (old) - [^.]+\.ib\.metapix\.net -Path \/.+
reddit - i\.redd\.it -Path \/.+
X - .+\.twimg\.com -Path \/.+

And then a few that the e621 list doesn't have. This is gonna be a little harder for me as I'm trying to understand this format for domains so this may or may not be wrong:

CivitAI (again, mentioned already, but trying the format) - image\.civitai\.com -Path \/.+
Desuarchive (4chan archives) - desu-usergeneratedcontent\.xyz -Path \/.+
Frosting AI - api\.frosting\.ai -Path \/.+
