The tag alias #60042 laying -> lying is pending approval.

Reason: It's like lying, but wrong. Surprisingly common mistake, apparently.

Isn't laying when you are "placing or putting something down" (it takes an object),
and lying when someone or something is "resting or reclining in a horizontal position" (it doesn't take an object).

I'm concerned about "laying eggs" here

True... In that case, is there where you'd use a disambiguation tag?

I have no idea. From what I understand, *_(disambiguation ) tags are for homographs.

maybe we could alias laying -> laying_object ? I have no better ideas

laying_eggs already gets aliased to oviposition here (and e621), and laying gets aliased to lying on e621 so 🤷‍♂️

thanks for the info.

Well, if people use laying as lying, it makes sense to just alias them together. I don't like it, but it makes sense (and it's not about what I like or not anyway)
