Topic: enforcement of parent - child posts

Posted under General

already when i look at recent posts i see the same variations of 100 posts out of 250 pictures on a page. And this will get only worse with easy generation,
i believe it is important to very strictly enforce uploaders to properly set up and manage parent - child relationship between their posts, because already this site is turning in quite a mess and people would greatly benefit if they would be able to use

ischild:false

because it might be the most needed search function very soon.

You should propose this on e621 instead, because e6AI runs on a fork of e621, so if they add it to e621, soon or later e6AI devs will pull changes from e621 to e6AI.

everything is already implemented and works how it should. When you browse random posts on e621, you'll notice that the parent-child system is consistently followed, and similar edits of the same post are grouped together. If an uploader doesn't do it, someone else will take care of it.

However, the problem arises when dealing with a everincreasing volume of AI-generated content. On this site, the responsibility for this task should be placed on the uploader. Just like how you're expected to "tag your own content," setting it as children posts should also be a mandatory requirement.

Wondering how similar uploads should be to get parent-child linked:

(I'm used to parent-child level of similarity in traditional art)

Example: i parent-child linked
due to the similarties,

but wasn't 100% sure about including
post #6958
(zebra is standing in 9688 and 9726 ,
but is on knees in 6958).

IMHO, if you used the same prompt, set the images as parent/child

I didn't create the art (airt?) so I don't know what prompts used.
Only source (to check if prompts revealed) is discord link at post #6958 (which I can't use as i don't have a Discord account).

They look similar enough that I'm going to ahead and parent-link 6958 to 9688
