The help section says the maximum uploads you can post is 30 yet I’m currently stuck at around ten. How does the limit get increased besides waiting for mods to approve posts?

You can read all about how the system works here

Basically the more approved posts you have the higher your limit.
The limit of 30 you mention is just an hourly limit meaning you can't upload more than 30 posts in an hour. The actual upload limit can go much higher than that.
