Topic: Requesting exact and specific clarification on the rules involving "size difference"

Posted under General

Post 66905 displayed a charmander and a charmeleon. Wasnt intended or tagged as cub as the mod itself pointed out, but it was removed regardless due to what seems to be "size difference".

The female charmander here has cub-like proportions (relative to the male): shorter tail, no tail flame, smaller hands, shorter muzzle.
Even though it probably wasn't intended and isn't tagged as such, I'm going to say it's too sus to keep up.

And the difference would mainly come from the fact that charmanders and charmeleons are NOT the same size.
I request a very specific and detailed explanation on what the actual rules are cause on a site that features an actual cub tag, going around banning feral images with no semblance of even anthro features, due to "size difference" sounds to me like something along the lines of "there are no rules, the only thing that counts are our impressions of the image".

I get that the parent site has banned any semblance of underage humans, but even they claimed that anthro are okay. Yet here we are banning outright feral images, based on size difference? What gives?
If this is the level of consistency here involving the rules, whats the point of even trying to post anything? I mean jesus... size difference? REALLY?

I was thinking the same thing. I recently came across a post that clearly has the Cub, Size difference, and young tags on it and yet it was still approved despite still being in the uploading guidelines that any underage characters in explicit situations isn't allowed? Either Jelloponies made the mistake by approving the post and didn't see the tags or approved the post Deming it not labeled as such? Just a tad bit confused.

I was even told by Lance that isn't wasn't allowed yet it's still being approved anyways?

it's called Tag What YOU See for a reason, many people may have a different perspective, to one side the person doesn't see as cub, the other see as cub

You know, its their site, they can do as they please as long as the rules are consistent and people are capable of following them (for obvious reason making them up on the spot and people being unable to comply is a problem).
But.
It doesnt escape me that we hit a point in time where we are not only censoring artistic expression, but we are also overruling the creator of something in regards of what the actual produced thing is. And im not gonna lie, i spent like 5 minutes sitting in front of my screen just grinning like a scizoid psycho, trying to somehow force the entire concept inside my cranium.
The word and statement of the very person who hand crafted something into reality no longer matters, because "many people may have a different perspective".
Its just involuntarily making me grin from ear to ear.
This reality is screwed beyond repair.

Im never posting a thing on this site again.

yall making this such a problem, FA has been similar for years for removing any sort of stuff that has height difference because somehow human biology affects pokemon/digimon/fictional creatures too

and its the same with e621 staff to some degree
but plus you aren't kinda losing anything? if anything go to inkbunny where you can post anything and set your own tags as you want
i would just, learn the ways of not doing anything similar, as this is a curated booru and not a gallery site

in other way, don't like the actions of a staff member? take up to NotMeNotYou, if nothing gets changed then it's final decision to keep the post down
if this becomes more problematic than it isn't the rules will change with time

the problem i see here is the staff not saying it's young and went with size difference, because i remember the post and i genuinely thought it had young appearance, and then i forgot about the underage rule and didn't bother to look into it

Correct. Which is why i am not using FA either, or for that matter ANY OTHER eccentric censor hellholes with a completely carefree, "it doesnt matter what the author thinks, im the authority on defining what his/her art is or is not" attitude on moderation and curation.

There is no problem here and we do not disagree. Much like FA and holy dragoneer's sacred kingdom of overreach and power tripping, the site is not for me and i should take my stuff to somewhere else.
The confusion simply stemmed from the fact that i thought e621 and even before that e6ai to be different from this.
I admit, i was wrong.
Problem solved.
Im out.

Topic can be closed. There are no longer any issues here.
Everyone have a very nice and blessed week. Take care of yourselves and have fun.
Bye.

creators on both sides has been taken a toll to how staff manages, staff is always both right and wrong, artists on e621 has always struggled with the young stuff because blacklist needs to be working and so people need to tag stuff, by they making it on purpose to be young or not, doesn't care, if it looks like underage, looks like underage, here the rule is different because applies to both looking underage and are underage(fictional character) because of AI on itself
if you don't like their attitude go take up to NMNY, if you like their attitude then send a commendation

AI rules

machine learning assisted
Short description: Images generated through artificial intelligence software. Commonly known as AI Art.

As per site rule #3: Imagery generated through machine learning (AI) is only allowed so long it is used in conjunction with human intervention, serving as a foundational component rather than a final product.
Moreover, each tagged image must include an editor:tag pointing to a valid source, facilitating transparency and proper crediting within the community.

A lioness video of mine was taken down for (supposed) "young" reasons. Honestly it's like a weird in between of large lioness and cub maybe?
Not quite either, but I would highly doubt any horrible images were trained for that.
I'm just trying to wrap my head around what lines here are, or if some people clearly just have more leeway than others.

I'm fine with following basic common sense rules, but when it comes to mid-size creatures, what's the rule?
And why are they not following their own said rule? Because he definitely has his own questionable due to size submissions.

did perhaps the said post was a feral instead of anthro?

The face was anthro in the beginning (Nala), then transformed a little once it turned it's head. But the body was feral. So categorize that in it's own way I guess.
