One of my highest rated pictures was deleted. It was comparably better than most of my other pictures which were all approved, high quality, and nothing contentious.
Is there some sort of issue with approval going on?

the janitor who is actively rejecting posts has some personal problems,he is taking his time enjoying humilitaing others
Yea I thought the same thing. It seem the "Janitor" Jelloponies is taken down my post for being "Artistic". Wym artistic? How? It's AI generated, the post he deleted has a cartoony style to them, it's was suppose to look toony. Otherwise, my other post that look similar wouldn't have been approved.
The "Artistic" thing is just one of the presets to choose when selecting a reason for deleting a picture in the mod UI.
As for the recent deletions, you'd get an answer quickest by asking on the official discord channel.
It's just that with new mods, you could say that the new uploads have a stricter requirements when it comes to acceptable errors in genned pictures than before, so don't compare old approved uploads to the new ones

shh, dont bring up his name,it will hurt his feelings, people on discord have been complaining for some time now,all he did was justifying himself but not the deletion,so i asked other janitors on discord and they restored some of my posts, but beware the term "artistic" varies greatly based on janitors mood.

yep, had two of mine deleted for not being "artistic" enough, one i could maybe see, the other not as much. Both of them were something the AI didnt like/understand as well so i put a lot more effort into genning them XP.

I asked the mod why he deleted it. He said there were no significant issues and then restored it.
As a note to moderators/janitors etc:
It might be a good rule of thumbs for moderators to generally approve pictures in the 50th percentile in likes/fav for the day or (content type), unless they have significant quality or content issues. When not having time to properly evaluate a post, or unsure about a post, letting it expire is far less offensive than declaring it is low quality or deleting it. Concerned artists can appeal without offense, and this will put the workload where it belongs.
Deleting something with the message:
"DELETION] Does not meet minimum quality standards (Artistic)"
is actively telling an artist "your art is not good, do not post art like that here". Some artists *DO* need to be told that, but when the deleted art is greatly appreciated by the community, and is significantly better than other stuff approved for that day, the community should be concerned about the moderators judgement.

I like thicc butts. You like photorealistic pictures of real life animals. I'd suggest we live and let live.
