The first other-websites (i.e. not e6ai) that come to mind at DeviantArt and Inkbunny.

And I've been wondering what other people think of those other websites. (not just DevArt and Inkbunny)

TL/DR I am struggling to find any motivation to keep uploading to DeviantArt and this account may become inactive for a while. Of all of the platforms I can uploaded nsfw content DA is the only site that consistently goes out of its way to suck all of the fun out of otherwise enjoyable hobby, their rules regarding fictional characters are a lot stricter than other nsfw sites, they have a ridiculously low bar for what even counts as nsfw (see below), their content scanner is a poorly trained mess which constantly misidentifies characters and ages and blocks legitimate content while also allowing naked underage characters to be sold as adoptables, and now the recent changes made to 'reduce spam' have resulted in approx 30% of my uploads being rejected by the content scanner whether they are nsfw or not. but the primary reasons is I'm completely fed up of having to deal with a customer support team that never actually provides any kind of meaningful support. All they ever do is ignore questions, reply with copy paste pre-scripted responses and then lock tickets so you can't even say 'hey you didn't answer my question'.

For those who would like a more thorough explanation: Over the last few months I have had an insane number of nsfw policy violations on images are that are completely sfw and by DA's rules do not even require the mature tag. Every time it happened I opened a support ticket to ask DA why they are classing the image as nsfw when it contains zero nudity, not even so much as a cameltoe or erect nipples under clothing. And every time without fail DA support would ignore my questions, reply with a low effort copy/paste pre-scripted reply and lock the ticket saying 'we will no longer reply to this ticket'.

The final nail in the coffin was an image of Poppy Sweeting from the Hogwarts Legacy game, dressed in full Hogwarts school uniform, including trousers, but she had bare feet visible and apparently this is enough for DA to remove an image if the character is under 18. I opened a ticket and asked DA support how a fully clothed school girl could possibly be nsfw when swimwear that shows a lot more skin is fine, and got my usual copy-pasta low effort reply from support, 'this image was removed for violating our sexual themes policy' with a link to their policy which I read twice before opening another ticket to point out that there is literally nothing in their nsfw policy that would justify this takedown, the second ticket was also locked with the same pre-scripted reply. I then copied all the info into a new ticket and basically said 'until I get a satisfactory answer to my question I will keep reopening the same ticket over and over again', I did finally get a reply that was not pre-scripted and it was basically 'this image could be arousing to the foot fetish community so we removed it', essentially admitting that the image did not actually violate DA's sexual themes policy but they decided to use their discretion and remove it anyway but didn't actually have the balls to say that.

Out of frustration I then opened another ticket calling out support on their low effort approach to providing support to DAs paying customers and I think I was probably a bit rude on this ticket as I'd had enough of pre-scripted responses. That ticket never received a reply, but within 24 hours my paywalled content was audited and I was hit with over 300 nsfw policy violations in a day, some of my older uploads definitely broke the rules, but the vast majority of these policy violations were DA staff googling the age of characters then cherry picking the results to justify takedowns, for example, Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail who is 17-24 throughout Fairy Tail, none of the images of her looked under 18 but DA deleted all of them just because google said at one point she was 17 years old. That content had not been reported and did not break any rules, they essentially just wanted to a) put me in my place because I was rude to them on a support ticket and b) to intentionally faceplant my account into the dirt in terms of exposure through the DA algorithm by hitting me with a huge amount of policy violations in one go.

I find it mindboggling that not only did I have to open 3 different tickets just to get an honest response from DA but also that the same people who can't be arsed to spend 60 seconds replying to a ticket are willing to spend 4+ hours trawling my account and issuing policy violations just to fuck with me.

I assume the DA support role is a bit like being a Facebook moderator, in that they spend most of their working day looking at horrific nsfw content that has been reported for breaking the rules and over time that can have a profound effect on someone's mental health; so I kinda get why their customer support is run in such a low effort, impersonal way but going out of their way to intentionally mess with my accounts exposure is a bit aggressive.

Here's a list, with gotchyas included:

- DeviantArt: the gotchyas being covered in the above post.
- Inkbunny: Allowed if you want to deal with their AI disclosure paperwork, which IMO is misguided and backwards because it punishes and discourages creation processes that are more involved and complex. "The description must contain all prompts, seeds and LoRAs passed to AI tools and indicate the generator, training model and version or hash used. For advanced projects that cannot be described in this manner, attach the workflow as an additional JSON or TXT file."
- Pixiv: Requires genital censoring. This place has been going pretty scorched earth lately, a real downhill mess, dunno if I could honestly recommend it. Their associated subreddit paints a grim outlook. Engagement here is near-zero, even picts I see with 6-figure views often have no comments.
- Social media: afaik it's just twitter and bluesky that would allow NSFW furry art (but if you do feral art it's a gamble, neither would allow my own flavor of feral gens).
- Other boorus: there's a few floating around out there, but the activity level is a fragment compared to this place.
- Reddit: idk if I could name a more anti-AI place, don't bother.
- Generative repositories: Places like civit.ai. I think a lot of refugees from there are coming over here due to their more restrictive rules.

So tl;dr, IMO e6 here + a social media platform of your choice is your best bet.

edit: oh and there's also discord, but I guess that's not a "site". There's a discord link at the top bar here with a couple links, tho.
