A few more seconds would have been so good, but I imagine there are some tech limitations.

That's the dream. Big, fluffy, soft, squishy, caring, all the good qualities

For awhile now I've been mulling over why this kind of character dynamic has become so popular (especially as of late), and I've formed a hypothesis that it has to do with the comfort a young boy feels when in the presence of his mom- basically, when a boy is young, his mom is (assumed to be unless one's childhood is unfortunate): big, soft, warm, comforting, and caring (and in many cases sometimes also domineering as the parent).

As of the last few years, it seems that many young (and even older) men have been in a state of near constant anxiety and or stress, and this character dynamic becomes a comforting fallback to a time in childhood when one could simply relax and be at ease both physically and mentally; of course, with the large female character being an anthro in this case because a furry proclivity is amalgamated in (also physical intimacy not because 'mom' but because desire for a sexual companion).

I would be interested in seeing why others enjoy this dynamic; whether this observation is obvious or if there is something else others are pulling from it.

That would be such an interesting topic to see for a social research thesis!

Definitely agree with the reasoning behind your hypothesis. Even if ignoring the general increased stresses of life, there's been a lot of social pressure put on young men, even boys, that make approaching and interacting with women quite daunting. However, that doesn't remove the desire to feel safe and loved, in fact, it might even strengthen it.

In my case, I'm unbelievably touch-starved and stressed from work and education. What I would give to have some unconditional love where I can just melt away and be told it'll all be ok... Yeah, someone with such qualities would probably be described as "motherly."
