Director: epilepsy warning

This tag is not actually a director, but is in the director category to make it stand out in the tag list. This tag applies to pictures and animations/videos that contain effects that may trigger a seizure in those suffering from photosensitive epilepsy.

This tag should be applied on:

  • Bright flashing colors
  • Rapid strobe lights
  • Extremely rapid animation (such as fast 2 frame animations)
  • Animated glitch effects
  • Still images containing bold and repetitive dark-light patterns

This tag does not need to be used on slow flashing.

Certain other visual patterns may require the tag on a case-by-case basis, such as screentone, static, still glitch effects, fractal imagery, and chromatic aberration.

Please use your best judgment. If looking at it hurts your eyes, it's very likely that it could have worse effects on someone with photosensitive epilepsy.
