A popsicle (United States, Canada), freezer pop (U.S.), paleta (Mexico, Southwestern U.S.), ice lolly (United Kingdom), ice pop (U.K., India, Ireland, South Africa), icy pole (Australia, New Zealand) or ice drop (Philippines) is a frozen dessert consisting of a frozen flavored liquid on a stick.

Note that Popsicle is a trademark for a specific brand of this product currently sold by Good Humor-Breyers (a division of Unilever). The name comes from Francis William "Frank" Epperson, the supposed creator of the frozen dessert.
