Cervids: hooved ruminants of the Cervidae (deer) family and the even-toed ungulates (artiodactyla), known for their antlers (or tusks, in some species). Cervids come in many shapes and sizes and are widespread through most of the world with three known subfamilies: Capreolinae (new-world deer), Cervinae (old-world deer), and Hydropotinae (water deer).
