pecs

General Muscle Guide

Short for the Major and Inferior Pectoralis, the Pecs are a pair of thick, fan-shaped muscles situated on the upper chest and makes up the bulk of the chest muscles. It is responsible for arm rotation as well as contributing to abduction and flexion functions of the shoulder joint. The pectoralis major also anchors the arm to the torso.

Pecs are generally most visible through their bulk thickness creating a distinct furrow along the sternum and lower boundary towards the abdominal region. Easily visible in males , well developed pecs on characters with breasts will usually only be visible thru the aforementioned furrow running along the sternum along with other less common features. (See "pecs_with_breasts")

If the Pecs are well developed and visible in the picture then it should be tagged.
