confession booth

A location found in a church where believers confess their sins before a priest. It takes the form of a two-chambered booth separated by a wall with a small grate or window at head height, with the priest in one chamber and the penitent in the other. Traditionally, the priest offers advice or rituals to absolve the penitent's sin after confession. In real life confession booths are a Christian practice, but in fiction the concept can be applied to other religions as well.

The privacy and intimacy of confession booths make them a popular setting for pornography, such as adding glory holes and/or priests offering sex acts as a form of absolution. This is likely to be both unprofessional behavior and sacrilegious.
