Description

Recently, I saw that the Sekiro anime adaptation has been announced, so I revisited the game. The moment when Ōkami pierces Emma's throat and then holds her in his arms after defeating her really inspired me. That's why I created this piece.

As I finished the artwork, the old Chinese idiom “hóng yán huò shuǐ” (a beautiful woman who brings down a kingdom) came to mind. After all, the slain protagonist is also a fox. Then I thought of this:
“A fox enchantress once toppled the Shang dynasty.
Today, my blade ends this curse of ruinous beauty.”
