Since you only have 27 posts, you could just change the tags under each one by hand, it'd take 5 mins max. It's easy and quick to do through Edit mode when viewing the posts

As long as that's acceptable, then ok no prob! I know since it'll be a "new" tag, I assume a mod would still have to 'approve' it

No, a new tag doesn't need to be approved. Every user has the right to create tags, just edit your posts.
